Summary
Hays are currently partnering with a specialist independent school supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs, based in Disley, Cheshire East. They provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Their approach focusses on personalised learning, small class sizes, and building strong, positive relationships to help every pupil reach their full potential. This school are looking for an organised and proactive Science and Food Technology Technician to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a practical environment and supporting hands-on learning experiences.
Location: Disley
Start Date: 5th January
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 (non-negotiable)
Contract: Full-time
Rate: Up to £15/hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up experiments for Science lessons, ensuring all equipment and materials are ready for teaching.
- Maintain and organise workstations, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.
- Assist with tidying and cleaning up after Science experiments and Food Technology practical sessions.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of equipment and ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a laboratory and kitchen environment (training can be provided).
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
