Your new role


As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will lead and deliver air quality projects for a diverse range of clients, including industrial, residential, and commercial developments. You will manage complex assessments, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the growth of the air quality service line.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and managing air quality projects as part of multi-disciplinary teams or standalone assignments
  • Supporting service line leaders and assisting in business development activities
  • Preparing technical proposals and contributing to winning new work
  • Keeping up to date with regulations, standards, and best practice in air quality assessments
  • Developing tools and techniques to improve service delivery
  • Representing the organisation at external meetings and presentations



What you'll need to succeed


  • Proven experience delivering air quality assessments in the UK across a range of projects
  • Strong technical skills in air dispersion modelling (e.g., ADMS, ADMS-Roads, AERMOD) and GIS applications
  • In-depth understanding of UK air quality legislation for planning and permitting
  • Ability to interpret environmental guidelines and provide practical solutions
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage workloads independently
  • Full membership of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM)
