Summary
We are looking for a Diabetes specialist Dietitian to join the multidisciplinary team at Ealing Hospital in out patient Diabetes care .
You will be required to provide evidence based dietetic advice to adults with diabetes. A knowledge of carbohydrate counting education, insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring is required. The role would have a great mix of one-to-one clinics and diabetes group education, including DAFNE and carbohydrate counting sessions delivered virtually and face to face.As a band 7, you will be one of the senior members of the Dietetic team. You will support the Team Lead in monitoring, developing and evolving the dietetic service and you will also be providing support to the junior members of the team and students.We are looking for a Dietitian with strong communication, organisational, team working and leadership skills with a passion for Diabetes. They should be focused on providing a high quality dietetic service which is evidence based and responsive to the changing needs of the NHS and this patient group.The post holder will be expected to work closely with the other Diabetes Dietitians within the Trust and lead on clinical and service development projects. Together, you will be the experts on nutrition in this field, and will seek opportunities within the MDT to lead on service improvement, audit and research, raising the profile of Dietetics within the team and organisation.We will be working on ensuring that the service to patients is equitable across the Trust, so in addition to being based at Ealing, you will need to be open to working at the other sites.
