We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our Repairs and Maintenance team at HMS, part of Torus Group, covering
the North West. You’ll be working across occupied and void properties, delivering high-quality plumbing works while providing an
excellent service to our customers.




What You Will Be Doing:




* Carry out all aspects of plumbing work, both internal and external, including new installations, maintenance and remedial works
* Undertake associated trade tasks such as basic plastering, tiling and joinery to support efficient service delivery
* Plan and organise work effectively to meet priority response times and performance targets
* Work within scheduled appointment systems, liaising with customers and colleagues
* Diagnose faults, carry out pre-measuring and determine repair requirements in line with contractual guidelines
* Supervise and support apprentices or trainees when required
* Use mobile and IT systems to receive instructions, complete work orders and order materials
* Ensure accurate completion of all documentation and system updates
* Drive and maintain a company vehicle, stock and equipment responsibly
* Manage materials efficiently, minimising waste and delays
* Comply fully with Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
* Participate in training, development and competency programmes
* Work collaboratively with schedulers, planners, customer liaison officers and contractors
* Participate in an out-of-hours rota when required (additional payment applies)




What We Are Looking For:




* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing or a relevant craft discipline
* Valid CSCS card at the appropriate level
* Full UK or EU driving licence
* Experience in multi-skilled trade activities
* Completed, time-served apprenticeship
* Proven experience in plumbing, building maintenance and construction
* Strong customer service skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach




Interview Process:




* Candidates will be invited to in-person interviews at our Stonebridge office, which will include a competency-based interview.
