Summary
This is a Term Time Only position.
What is the purpose of this role?
To assist in the collection and delivery of students and other clients to and from their schools or other establishments.
What makes this role unique?
You will assist in ensuring that clients are assisted in a safe and supportive manner.
What will this role involve?
Assist in the collection and delivery of allocated clients from their home, school or other point to their destination
Work with the driver to load and unload clients in and out of the vehicle
Ensure that when the vehicle is travelling, the clients are securely strapped in position using the full range of restraint equipment. (Please note, full training will be provided).
When clients are being transported, accompany and assist them
Report any concerns over the physical, mental or other health needs of the client to the parents, school and/or line manager
What are we looking for?
DBS to enhanced level (company responsible for all costs)
Ability to adapt in changing situations
Must be able to demonstrate a good level of care and compassion towards our clients
Be able to ensure that all occupants on our vehicle are securely strapped in position
Able to assist the driver by ensuring that the driver is not distracted by any incidents that occur in the vehicle whilst on the move
The ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing with work colleagues, members of the public, clients.
The ability to identify any physical, mental, or other health needs of our client
Knowledge and understanding of any physical, mental, or other health needs of clients
Experience of working with children and vulnerable people
Willing and prepared to work extra hours as and when required
Candidates must demonstrate understanding of, acceptance, and commitment to the principles underlying equal opportunities
Able to demonstrate an understanding of effective customer care
This is a Term time Only position – working 15 hours per week – 1½ hours in the morning (7.30am - 9.00am) and 1½ hours in the afternoon (2.45pm - 4.15pm). You will be collected and returned to your home address each shift.
