Summary
We are seeking a skilled Monumental Mason to join our team. You will be responsible for the production, inscription, and safe installation of memorials and headstones.
Key Responsibilities:
* Production: Cutting, polishing, and shaping granite, marble, and stone to specific dimensions (metric).
* Inscriptions: Sandblasting and painting lettering; hand-cutting skills are a distinct advantage.
* Installation: Fixing memorials in cemeteries and churchyards in strict accordance with NAMM/BRAMM standards (BS 8415).
* Restoration: Cleaning, re-gilding, and repairing existing memorials on-site or in the workshop.
* Site Management: Concrete foundation work and safe manual handling of heavy stone.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in monumental masonry.
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential for site work).
* Current BRAMM or NAMM fixer license (preferred).
* CSCS card (advantageous).
* Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials safely.
* High attention to detail and respect for working in sensitive environments.
