As a Senior IT Asset Manager, you will hold full responsibility and accountability for all software and associated hardware assets managed by the IT Asset Management team. You will lead a team that manages the data, compliance and strategic relationships across all software and hardware Publishers.

This is a fast-paced, varied and highly rewarding role requiring a confident and experienced strong leader. You will be accountable for all software and associated hardware assets, managed by the IT Asset Management team. You'll be leading a team that oversees data, compliance, and strategy across all Publishers.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide strong, visible leadership to the IT Asset Management team.
  • Perform line management duties including coaching, mentoring, training and recruitment.
  • Promote a high-performance culture, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.

Strategic Asset Management

  • Lead the delivery of renewals within your area, ensuring alignment with pre-agreed publisher strategies.
  • Create and implement asset strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders, balancing risk, value and compliance.
  • Support the IT Asset Management Lead in developing and embedding strategy, policy, process and measurement across the DWP estate.

Compliance & Governance

  • Manage corrective actions to resolve areas of non-compliance or breaches of licence agreements.
  • Ensure process effectiveness and compliance through stakeholder engagement and deployment data analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of asset management policies, standards, plans, procedures and guidelines.

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of IT asset data across the estate.
  • Provide clear, actionable management information on asset management performance and process effectiveness.
  • Analyse large datasets to inform decision making and drive strategic improvements.

Innovation & Efficiency

  • Support the adoption of new technologies and automation to improve process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation.
