Location: Birmingham

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Salary: £27,976 to £33,000 depending on experience + call out + over time + standby

What will you be responsible for?

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll be working within the Operative team, supporting them with reactive and planned highways maintenance works such as pothole repairs, kerb laying, minor civils works / improvement works and support severe weather operations.

Your day to day will include:

· Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the network, operating a variety of plant and equipment, carrying out required duties effectively, ensuring site and company equipment is always secure, raising problems/queries with designated supervisor Completing daily record sheets as required

· Using WMS / MMW application at incidents and emergency repairs on the network and where required completing any required record sheets, providing accurate records of works on the network

· Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and maintaining vehicles in a good order



What are we looking for?

This role of Highways Maintenance Operative is great for you if:

· You are Street Works qualified - unit 1-9

· Drive and hold a full driving licence

· Category C licence

· Can work on your own initiative and as part of a team
