Our client, established in 1998, is a leading specialist in the design and installation of high-end windows, doors, and conservatories across both the commercial and residential sectors.
They are now seeking a Managing Director to lead the business and drive overall performance.

Are you the right person for the job?
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
• Proven experience as a Managing Director, General Manager, Operations Director, or similar senior leadership role
• A background within construction, manufacturing, glazing, windows/doors, or a related sector
• Experience in owner-managed or SME environments
• A strong track record of improving operational performance and profitability
• A hands-on, practical, and commercially minded leadership style
• Confidence to make decisions and lead through change
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to align teams around clear priorities
• Accountability, resilience, and a results-focused mindset
• High personal integrity, with a structured, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach
• An entrepreneurial mindset paired with operational discipline
What will your role look like?
As Managing Director, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, performance, and strategic direction of the business. This is a hands-on role combining strategy with execution.
Key responsibilities include:
• Full ownership of business performance, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management
• Developing and delivering a clear business and growth strategy aligned to commercial objectives
• Translating strategy into actionable plans, KPIs, and measurable outcomes
• Leading all operational areas, including production, installation, sales, supply chain, and aftersales
• Driving improvements in efficiency, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery
• Introducing structure, systems, and accountability without over-complicating the business
• Improving margins and profitability through strong commercial decision-making
• Building, leading, and developing a capable senior management team
• Creating a performance-driven culture with clear ownership and accountability
• Recruiting, retaining, and developing key talent across the business
• Acting as the senior representative of the business with key customers, suppliers, and partners
• Working closely with the owner, providing visibility, assurance, and confidence as they step back from day-to-day operations
