Summary

Gloucestershire Constabulary is recruiting a Pubic Feedback Caseworker , the successful candidate will join a small but dedicated team off staff.

The Public Feedback Team are part of the Professional Standards Department within Gloucestershire Constabulary. The Public Feedback Team investigate and resolve complaints received by the Constabulary. Trust and public support is crucial in policing, and dealing with complaints in a prompt and effective manner is critical.

The team champions the ethos that “we value feedback from the public – it helps us to improve”. The role will include delivering the feedback process across the constabulary through complaint casework, recognition, and acting within regulations, but also using innovation and creativity to negotiate complaint resolution and resolve potential conflicts with police colleagues and the public.

Excellent communication skills will be crucial for the successful candidate along with a sound knowledge and understanding of IT systems. The role involves speaking with complainants on a daily basis.

Recognising and administering thank yous received within the Constabulary is also a key part of the role. The role is based at Police HQ, Waterwells, Gloucester. The role is predominately office based but opportunity for remote working 1-2 days a week will be considered after initial training period, in consultation with line mangers.

The successful candidate will report to the Public Feedback Team Inspector. Full training will be provided.
