Summary
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with strong knowledge of sourcing and purchasing materials from China. The ideal candidate should have excellent contacts with suppliers, manufacturers, shipping companies, and customs agents, along with solid experience in import procedures and bulk ordering.
This role requires someone who understands product quality, can identify the correct material specifications, and can negotiate effectively to secure the best prices and delivery terms.
Key Responsibilities
Source and procure materials in bulk from China
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules
Coordinate international shipping, freight forwarding, and customs clearance
Identify exact material requirements based on project needs
Evaluate product quality and ensure compliance with standards
Monitor market trends, pricing changes, and supplier performance
Prepare procurement reports and maintain documentation
Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve supply chain issues
Requirements
Chinese language proficiency (preferred)
Proven experience in procurement, especially in sourcing from China
Strong contacts with manufacturers, suppliers, shipping agents, and import clearance providers
Deep understanding of product quality, materials, and specifications
Knowledge of customs procedures, international shipping, and import regulations
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make well-informed decisions
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
