Summary

Line manage Band 7 critical care pharmacists and pharmacy technician(s) Lead and support clinical governance for immunoglobulin use and in adult critical care Where qualified to do so, prescribe within agreed scope and CUH pharmacist prescribing policy Support EoE SRIAP treatment decisions and response assessment in line with standards and guidelines Attend and contribute to regional immunoglobulin panels and working groups Support compliance with EOEIAP, NHSE and national immunoglobulin database standards Lead and contribute to novel pharmacy projects in designated clinical areas Contribute to regional workstreams via the EoE Critical Care Pharmacists Network and Subregional Immunoglobulin Assessment Panel Undertake and support research and transition research in to practice to inform evidence-based practice development Liaise with senior multidisciplinary staff to promote safe, effective and cost-effective medicines use in critical care Support safe prescribing and administration of high-risk medicines commonly used in adult critical care Contribute to multidisciplinary ward/board rounds, case discussions and service meetings. Support the education and development of junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants.
