Summary

We’re Hiring: Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) – Consultancy

Location: Central Cambridge

Salary: £70-£75k + full benefits package

I'm currently partnering with a well-respected Quantity Surveying consultancy, seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) to join their growing team. This is a client-side role within a consultancy environment, and Employer’s Agent (EA) experience is essential.

My client works across a range of projects and is looking for a PQS who is confident managing schemes from early cost advice through to final account, while also fulfilling EA duties and acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

The role will involve:

• Delivering PQS services across multiple projects from feasibility to completion

  
  

• Undertaking Employer’s Agent responsibilities, including contract administration and client reporting

  
  

• Preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation

  
  

• Managing procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts

  
  

• Advising clients on cost, risk, and contractual matters

  
  

• Working closely with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders

  
  

  What my client is looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor within a QS consultancy

    
    

  • Demonstrable Employer’s Agent (EA) experience

    
    

  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts

    
    

  • Experience working in a client-facing, consultancy-led environment

    
    

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
