Summary
As a Clinical Receptionist you will work as part of a team under the supervision of qualified nurses and doctors and experienced Clinical Receptionists to provide a high standard and quality of health care to patientsin accordance withBADGER standards and clinical procedures. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities The main purpose of the role will be: - To work effectively as part of the Badger team to support high quality, safe and timely care for patients under the instruction/ guidance of Badger clinician To work in accordance with Badgers policies and procedure To book patients in using the Adastra computer database, and liaise with clinicians to support triage of walk-in patients when required and within the required timeframe To undertake initial patient assessments to support the registered healthcare professionals clinical assessment and management, in line with Badgers policies and procedures. Examples include|: Blood Pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation readings and recordings ; Blood glucose testing Urinalysis To ensure accurate, timely, and effective two-way communication and action when receiving information/ advice/ guidance from Badger clinicians To ensure effective communication of concerns about possible serious illness or deterioration to secure timely clinician review of the patient To produce accurate, timely and legible records on the Electronic Patient Record system.
