We are seeking to appoint dynamic and enthusiastic candidates to the role of Deputy Ward Manager - T2 Rainbow Ward to cover a period of Maternity Leave within the team. This post is offered part time at 32x hours per week.

If you would like to become part of a team delivering excellent care and take advantage of many opportunities available to you, we would like to meet you.

We can offer you excellent educational opportunities from in house study courses to post graduate education through Middlesex University.

To apply for this post, you must be a strong leader who can work efficiently within an established multi-disciplinary staff group. Must be passionate and committed to delivering high standards of care, and need to ensure that all the people who use our services have a positive experience.

Please note: We reserve the right to close this advert early with high interest and advise submission of applications at the earliest opportunity.

The role will require the candidate to be able to make leadership decisions autonomously and as a part of the wider nursing leadership team, providing a standard of holistic family centered care to all children and their families.

The successful candidate will require the ability to foster and promote family centre care and establish good relationships with all patients, and their parents/carers, and provide care in a timely manner across the service. They are required to exhibit excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with all staffing disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of patient care.

The post holder will be responsible to take ownership of the service in the absence of the Ward Manager, managing and supporting all junior staffing to utilise and maintain standards of care through the correct undertaking of policies and procedures, and must be flexible in their approach to the clinical areas and provide cover as needed for any specified areas.

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care. We are also a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George’s University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
