Summary
A warm and professional family of four based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced and dependable housekeeper to support the smooth running of their home. They have two children: a little girl aged six and her brother who is aged two.
Although this is mainly a housekeeping role, someone who enjoys being around children and is happy to play the occasional game or carry out the school pick up would be a lovely fit. Additional paid hours for overtime or evening babysitting may be available by mutual agreement. The children’s Grandmother works alongside the family for school runs and childcare, so a team player is essential.
The hours of the role are Monday-Thursday, 15.00-19.00 (16 hours/week).
The housekeeper’s responsibilities will include:
• Cleaning all rooms to a high standard
• General tidying and organising throughout the home, with a daily reset of the kitchen, playroom, etc
• Family laundry (clothes and bedding) and ironing
• Changing beds regularly
• Putting away household shopping
• Preparing and cooking healthy and nutritious family meals, following an agreed menu plan and observing any dietary requirements
• Preparing packed lunches if required
A duty car is available for school runs and errands when required.
The family hopes to find someone who can use their initiative, is warm, trustworthy, and kind—someone who enjoys children and will bring a positive, supportive energy to their home.
