Crynodeb

1. To support the Principal Pharmacy Technician (High-Cost Drugs and Homecare), Senior Homecare Technician & relevant clinical pharmacists in overseeing the supply and monitoring of medicines delivered via homecare. 2. To support the preparation of homecare prescriptions, and to consult with clinical staff on related matters, providing a first point of contact on matters relating to homecare. 3. To support clinical pharmacist in undertaking transfers of patients to new homecare suppliers, and the introduction of major new products e.g. biosimilar medicines. 4. To consult with the pharmacy procurement office manager to ensure that homecare providers have access to relevant contract prices for homecare medicines. 5. To oversee the processing of invoices for homecare medicines and to resolve associated queries, consulting with clinical staff accordingly 6. To oversee the reporting of incidents associated with homecare services, consulting with providers and clinical staff to ensure that actions arising from these are dealt with accordingly, and that trends in incident reporting are analysed accordingly. 7. To provide a point of contact for homecare providers on matters relating to the provision of homecare medicines and to coordinate the resolution of queries, and to arrange regular attendance at department homecare meetings 8. To support the Pharmacy Procurement office manager in other medicines procurement activity including processing of order, invoices, and resolution of queries. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES To undertake any training (managerial and professional) identified by staff appraisal. To participate in weekend, on-call, and Bank Holiday working in accordance with agreed rotas. 3. To maintain confidentiality at all times relating to the patients, staff, and the Trust. To actively participate in the Staff Appraisal Process. 5. To be familiar and comply with relevant Operational, Personnel, Health and Safety policies and procedures, including Fire, COSHH, No Smoking and Alcohol. 6. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to local infection control policies.
