Summary

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and independence of service users by delivering personalised care tailored to their needs. Duties

Assist service users with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained
Support individuals with their personal care routines in accordance with care plans
Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
Administer medication as directed and record all relevant information accurately
Provide companionship and emotional support to service users, fostering positive relationships
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
Support with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal spaces
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery
Assist with transportation needs, including driving service users to appointments or activities when required
Skills

Valid driving licence and experience in home care or care home settings is desirable
Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement personalised support strategies effectively
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with service users and team members
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Organised with attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently met

Skills / Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 beneficial
