An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced practitioner psychologist to join the Long COVID Fatigue Psychology team, working as part of the Clinical Health Psychology Service at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. This is a permanent post. We are looking for an ambitious practitioner psychologist with a proven track record of delivering high quality psychological interventions in physical health settings and a curiousity to learn more about our fascinating speciality. The post-holder will join a friendly and active team and will access plenty of support and supervision, as well as good opportunities for career progression and important work experience. Our department offers an array of opportunities such as the audit programme, patient involvement group, EDI group, clinical governance group and more. This post is open to newly qualified psychologists or trainee psychologists due to complete their training in September 2026.
The main duties of the role include assessment and individual therapy with patients, attendance at multidisciplinary teams, team meetings, consultation with non-psychologists, triaging referrals, writing reports and service development.
