The Council works within the Social Services and Wellbeing Act (Wales) 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures, ensuring that partnership and prevention are at the heart of service delivery.

The Role
We are seeking experienced, qualified Social Workers to join Cardiff’s Intake and Locality (long-term) teams. You will be part of a passionate, committed, and supportive team environment, with access to flexible hybrid working, monthly supervision, and training opportunities.

Safeguard children and promote their welfare through a child-centred approach.

Work in partnership with families to build resilience and support positive outcomes.

Contribute to assessments, care planning, and decision-making processes.

Collaborate with colleagues, managers, and partner agencies to deliver effective interventions.

Uphold compliance with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act (Wales) 2014 and safeguarding procedures.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Care Wales.

Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in social work, ideally within Child Protection.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and procedures.

Ability to manage complex caseloads and work under pressure.

Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
