Your new role
Responsibilities include interpreting project briefs, designing and specifying electrical building systems (e.g., power, lighting, safety, telecoms, security), and producing detailed calculations using standard software tools. Tasks also involve preparing technical specifications, collaborating with design and BIM teams, conducting site surveys and inspections, writing reports, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with quality and governance standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Requirements include;
- Relevant degree (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in AutoCad, Revit, Amtech, Dialux
- Professional chartership is preferred. Strong proficiency in industry-standard software tools and general office applications is expected, along with familiarity with energy efficiency strategies and approaches to decarbonising buildings.
- Knowledge of energy and carbon data analysis and an understanding of building physics principles, such as passive design solutions, are advantageous.
