Summary

Join Our Team as a Child Protection Chair – Make a Real Difference!
Are you passionate about safeguarding children and ensuring their voices are heard? We’re looking for a full-time Child Protection Chair to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of vulnerable children.
In this role, you’ll lead multi-agency Child Protection Conferences, ensuring that every child’s experience and perspective are at the heart of decision-making. You’ll drive the creation of robust, child-focused protection plans and monitor their progress between conferences—escalating concerns when necessary to keep children safe.
This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to be part of a supportive, collaborative team of dedicated professionals. You’ll receive guidance from our Independent Chairs Service Manager and benefit from monthly team meetings—safe spaces for reflection, learning, and sharing best practices.
What we’re looking for:

A qualified Social Worker with proven experience in safeguarding children.
Strong analytical skills to assess and manage risk effectively.
The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals across partner agencies.

This is your chance to use your expertise to manage a varied caseload, ensuring that safeguarding remains central to every decision. If you’re ready to make an impact and thrive in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you!
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Stuart Crabb, Independent Reviewing Service Manager on 01482 709 399 or stuart.crabb@hullcc.gov.uk
Please ensure that your application demonstrates how you meet the essential criteria against the person specification as listed in the job description.
