We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a well-established, high-quality nursery in Wantage. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is committed to delivering outstanding early years education and care.
About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and compliance are maintained. You will inspire and support your team, build strong relationships with families, and drive continuous improvement across the setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of early years professionals
Ensure compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
Oversee safeguarding, health & safety, and staff well-being
Manage occupancy, budgets, and staffing levels effectively
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
Support staff development through training, mentoring, and appraisals
About You
Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable)
Proven experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role
Strong leadership and organisational skills
In-depth knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
A warm, approachable manner with a passion for early years education
