Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and data-driven Head of Data and Performance Insights to join the Mitie Compliance Services division.
As an operational data specialist, you'll be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analysing both structured and unstructured data. You will develop and implement reporting envirnments to uncover patterns, trends and valuable insights.
The ideal candidate for the Head of Data and Performance Insights position should have a strong background in data analysis with with experience in working with big data technologies and visualisation tools. Attention to detail, analytical thinking and the ability to work independently are critical attributes for success in this role. Strong communication skills are also crucial, as you will collaborate with cross-functional and operational teams and present findings to stakeholders.
Main duties:
-Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence strategy for the division, ensuring that data is collected, stored, reported and analysed effectively.
-Define key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the company and division objectives and regularly report on progress towards those KPIs.
-Design and maintain performance dashboards that provide real-time insights to the business with recommendations for action.
-Collaborate with other departments and teams within the business to ensure that performance insights and BI support their needs and goals.
-Work closely with decision makers across the business to improve the adoption of analytics in business operations. Work closely with stakeholders to always deliver on existing analytics solutions.
-Influence and educate key stakeholders (especially decision makers) to become more data driven and machine learning driven. Tackle any resistance by working closely with stakeholders to unlock real value to the business using data and analytics.
-Drive effective use of Power BI and be the 'go to' for strategy for reporting/data flows.
