Software Engineer
Salary: Competitive

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities
Software Design
Gather and analyse requirements from internal teams and customers
Produce clear and concise software specifications
Contribute to design meetings and technical reviews
Software Development
Develop and maintain mobile phone applications (iOS & Android)
Build Windows and web-based applications using modern Microsoft technologies
Work with SQL Server databases
Maintain and enhance existing systems, including legacy applications
Contribute to source control and best-practice development processes
Software Testing
Write and execute test specifications
Participate in office-based and real-world field testing
Support beta testing with internal users and customers
Maintain high software quality standards
Software Support
Provide technical support via internal support teams
Carry out remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
Assist with software commissioning and deployment
Help improve support and release processes
Documentation
Create and maintain user manuals and online help content
Skills & Experience
Essential
Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent commercial experience
Commercial experience developing mobile / phone applications
Minimum 3 years’ software development experience
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Positive, hands-on attitude with strong communication skills
Desirable Technical Skills
Mobile app development using MAUI (iOS & Android)
C#, C++, Visual Basic
ASP.NET, MVC
SQL Server
HTML, CSS, JavaScript / TypeScript
React / Next.js
Cloud-based development
Real-time or process-control software
GitLab or similar version control tools
