Summary
The Quality Team will ensure the Digital Forensics Unit can attain, and retain, its accreditation to ISO 17025, and that Quality systems in place meet regulatory, legislative, and criminal justice requirements (e.g. Forensic Science Regulator, Health and Safety, EU, Home Office).
You will support the Quality Manager and Technical Manager to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in Digital Forensic activities. This will involve planning of validation testing (including the escalation of non-conformities) and involvement in vertical and horizontal audits.
Responsibilities
As a Quality team member, you will be responsible for:
Deliver a technically assured Digital Forensic Service across DWP.
Manage records and document libraries, including monitoring Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
Maintain the QMS in line with international standards and the FSR Code.
Keep asset management records, identify calibration needs, and coordinate maintenance actions.
Support quality audits and validation tests, report findings, and implement improvements.
Track competency and training needs, identifying trends and gaps.
Horizon scan for legislative and market changes to support continuous improvement.
Publish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, technical procedures, and related documentation.
Create and update seeded reference devices for validation testing.
Assist with internal audits of QMS and forensic processes to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and FSR Codes.
Engage with colleagues to promote understanding and compliance with quality standards.
