I am currently working on behalf of an established and well-regarded nursing home provider to recruit an experienced Nursing Home Manager for a service based in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a passion for high-quality elderly care to take full operational responsibility for a well-run service.
The Role
As Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and performance of the nursing home, ensuring outstanding care delivery, regulatory compliance, and a positive culture for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Full operational management of the nursing home
Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation
Leading, motivating, and developing a multidisciplinary care team
Maintaining high standards of care, safety, and resident wellbeing
Managing budgets, staffing levels, and resources effectively
Completing audits, action plans, and quality improvement initiatives
Building strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and commissioners
Handling safeguarding matters, incidents, and emergencies appropriately
Promoting a positive, resident-focused culture at all times
Essential Experience & Requirements
Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up
Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and inspections
Experience managing teams, rotas, and care quality
Confidence managing budgets and occupancy
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN – desirable but not essential
