Summary
MDU Build Engineer
Pay: £700–£1,200 per week
Location: Various UK Areas
Are you looking to take the next step in your telecoms career?
Whether you’ve worked in fibre, copper, cable pulling, installations, civils, connections, or general telecoms support — we want to hear from you.
Capital Outsourcing Group are recruiting MDU Build Engineers on behalf of a long-established engineering provider working on a prestigious Openreach contract. This is a great opportunity to build on your existing telecoms knowledge and progress into a specialist fibre role.
The Role
As an MDU Build Engineer, you’ll play an important part in installing high-quality fibre within multi-dwelling units (MDUs). No two buildings are the same, so this is a hands-on role where you’ll be using your problem-solving skills and telecoms experience daily.
You will:
Install fibre internally from the network entry point throughout the building
Terminate fibres into RDTs and breakout boxes
Work on both internal and external cabling
Follow technical plans, building drawings, and surveys
Use fibre techniques such as BFT, blowing fibre, splicing and testing (training provided if needed)
Ensure all cabling meets fire safety and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be a fully experienced MDU Engineer — just someone who has previous telecoms experience and wants to develop.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Experience in any telecoms discipline (copper, fibre, cable pulling, civils, installations, etc.)
Ability to follow technical plans or schematics
Understanding of working safely, including heights or underground work
A full UK driving licence (12 months+, max 6 points)
What’s in it for You?
Excellent weekly earning potential (£700–£1,200)
Fully kitted-out company vehicle, tools, PPE, and uniforms
Job security with a long-term contract
Personal accident insurance
Career progression with ongoing training and support
