Summary

The Role
We are recruiting one qualified Social Worker to join the fostering service, working primarily within the support and supervision of foster carers team. This temporary role provides cover during the recruitment process.
The position involves a hybrid working pattern, with three days in the office and two days remote. You will manage a caseload of approved foster carers, both mainstream and connected carers, ensuring compliance with National Minimum Standards. You will also participate in the fostering service duty rota, which includes placement searches and Regulation 24 assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Support and supervise a caseload of foster carers, ensuring high standards of care.
Provide guidance and oversight to both mainstream and connected carers.
Ensure compliance with National Minimum Standards and fostering regulations.
Participate in the fostering service duty rota, including placement searches.
Undertake Regulation 24 assessments as part of duty responsibilities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to safeguard children.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
Experience in fostering or children’s social care services.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices and fostering regulations.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work within a duty rota.
Commitment to supporting foster carers and achieving positive outcomes for children.
