The Role
We are recruiting three qualified Social Workers to join the Child Protection team within Children’s Social Care. This temporary assignment will provide cover during the recruitment process.
The role involves a hybrid working pattern, with two days in the office and three days remote. You will be responsible for safeguarding children, managing caseloads, and working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in need of protection.
Key Responsibilities
Manage caseloads within the Child Protection team, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Undertake assessments and direct work with children and families.
Apply safeguarding knowledge to protect vulnerable children and promote their welfare.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated support.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and contribute to case conferences and reviews.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
Experience of working within a Children with Disabilities (CWD) team is essential.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to apply this in practice.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote responsibilities.
