Summary

Work with York Limited are working with our York based public sector client, on a brand-new service, Together We Can, to recruit a qualified Children’s Residential Support Worker, providing support to children and young people across the city between 11-17.

This role involves working a rota pattern with shifts covering weekends, day, evening, sleeping nights and bank holidays.

Pay is £15.82 per hour with enhancements for evening and weekend working.


This role involves:
Working as part of a specialist team to support children and young people and their families who are on the edge of care, who are in care or leaving care.
You will play a crucial role in a young person’s life, acting as a key worker and developing meaningful relationships built on compassion, respect, and trust.
Providing ongoing support to young people and their families who are on the edge of care or supporting them back to their family home or supported lodgings.
Providing exceptional care and support when a young person requires co-ordinated support whilst living in a residential setting.
Supporting a young person requiring therapeutic care, to access the relevant services and provide oversight and pathway co-ordination in and out of health services in conjunction with multiagency care plans.

You will have:
Experience in supporting young adults with complex health care needs.
Have a driving license and a vehicle for transport.
Be eligible to work in the UK.
Hold an Enhanced Children’s current valid DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check

Desirable:
Level 3-4 Children’s and Family practitioner
Level 3-4 certificate in residential childcare
