Summary
Driver’s Mate – Allington
Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing
Pay: £14.01 per hour (overtime £21.02 after 48 hours)
The Role We’re recruiting Driver’s Mates to join a busy 2-person home delivery team based in Allington. You’ll support the driver in delivering customer orders safely and on time, while providing excellent customer service at every stop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Making pre-calls to customers with estimated delivery times
- Handling PODs and assisting with basic customer service queries
- Assisting with loading/unloading and ensuring goods are handled safely
- Maintaining a professional and positive attitude throughout the day
Please note: this role can be physically demanding, involving some heavy lifting. A team-focused approach and commitment to customer satisfaction are essential.
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 2 off, 4 on / 2 off, 5 on / 2 off (7-day operation)
Flexibility required – not a Monday to Friday role
