Summary

A big hello from the team at Compuco!

At Compuco we empower socially responsible organisations with the digital tools they need to build a better world.

We work with non profit organisations across their digital stack, helping reimagine the way they work so that they can focus on impact.

We’re on the lookout for a talented and ambitious new Lead Functional Consultant to join the Compuco team, to head this mission critical business unit.

Reporting to our Chief Client Officer, you’ll head up a multidisciplinary team of CRM and website consultants - one of the key delivery engines of our business. You’ll take end-to-end responsibility for our functional consulting work: unpacking client business processes, reimagining them using our unique technology stack, and ensuring that we deliver genuinely impactful solutions.

As team lead, you’ll ideate and implement processes and procedures to ensure your team of Functional Consultants have everything they need to deliver exceptional, best-practice client work. Working in an agile environment, you’ll support task allocation and prioritisation to meet client needs.

You’ll act as mentor and coach for the team with the goal of fostering a genuinely supportive, collaborative culture, whilst working closely with our product team to help shape the future direction of our product stack.

As a distributed company with an HQ in London and team members from all around the world, one of the things that make working at Compuco special is the chance to meet and learn from people from an amazing array of nationalities and cultures. We’re extremely proud of the way we work and the open culture we’ve developed.

Key responsibilities:

Team leadership support:
- Lead and line-manage a team of Functional Consultants working across CRM and website projects.
- Ensure consultants have clear scope, robust processes, and the tools and procedures they need to deliver exceptional work.
- Train and guide the team to become experts in all areas of our product stack.
- Create a motivating, collaborative culture where consultants feel supported, valued and able to do their best work.
- Balance workload distribution and resource allocation across the team, ensuring sustainable utilisation.
- Contribute to capacity planning and hiring recommendations as the team grows.

Client discovery & solution design:
- Coach and occasionally run discovery activities (e.g. workshops, interviews, journey mapping) to deeply understand client needs.
- Unpack and model existing business processes, then reimagine them using our technology to deliver efficiencies and automation.
- Guide team to translate requirements into clear functional specifications.
- Provide expert insight to support your team to implement specifications to bring solutions to life, delivering tangible and enduring benefits to client organisations.
- Work closely with Product Owners to feed in client and market insights that shape our product roadmap.

Quality & delivery oversight:
- Own the quality of deliverables across your team’s projects, from initial concept through to go-live.
- Promote and enforce best practice in configuration, documentation and testing.
- Identify delivery risks early and work with project management and engineering to mitigate them.

Experience sought:

- Minimum of 5+ years delivering complex CRM solutions and digital projects, with proven ability to master new platforms rapidly (CiviCRM and CMS/Drupal experience a major plus)
- 5+ years working in a CRM or ERP agency environment delivering for clients
- Previous management experience desirable but not required
- Experience with agile methodologies desirable but not required

What we value in this role:

- You love the challenge of making complex things simple
- You can convey complex concepts clearly to other team members
- Compulsive organiser and executor who thrives on detailed planning and flawless delivery
- Likes to be “hands on” with your product to become an expert
- You seek to learn from others as well as share your knowledge and experience
- Someone who loves technical challenges and is committed to quality outcomes for our clients
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Can do / Make it happen attitude
