To provide support for a 10-year-old little boy with Autism, ADHD and limited verbal communication. Main DutiesWe are looking to recruit a support worker to enable this little boy to access age appropriate social and leisure activities in the local community. He has no danger awareness and requires close supervision at all times.Preference would be for a worker experienced in providing support for children with limited or no verbal communication. Patience and understanding are a must for the successful applicant as the child finds it difficult to make his needs known. He can become overwhelmed with his surroundings because of his limited verbal communication and will need a Support Worker who is caring and provide support and reassurance in these situations. He can also struggle to regulate his behaviour, and you will need to respond positively and sensitively when these situations arise.The child does require support with personal care and additional information will be provided around this to the successful applicant. - 5 hours per week during all term-time weeks (39 weeks) which is to be used in one block at weekends.
- 10 hours per week during all school holidays (13 weeks) with flexibility on days these are used and will be discussed at interview.
- £13.74 per hour.
- Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata.
- Out of pocket expenses to be paid by employer.

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS), cost to be met by employer.
