We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader to join our Extra Care service, Levington Court.
In this role, you will provide clear guidance, empower and motivate your team, and foster a positive, supportive environment where staff feel valued and confident.
Through effective communication, training, and mentorship, you will help your team reach their full potential.
The purpose of this role is to lead and inspire our dedicated care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect, and independence for every individual. Your leadership will drive excellence and create a culture of compassion and empowerment.

About the Role…
As a Care Team Leader, you will work closely with the Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Extra Care service. Your leadership will inspire and support the care team, ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our customers.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Level 3 in Health and Social care or above.
- Supervisory qualification or commitment to achieve within 18 - 24 months.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to support & empower the team, working together for positive outcomes.
- Compassionate and person-centred approach in all aspects of the delivery of the service to give tenants a sense of belonging.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities to meet the needs of the service.
- Good understanding of care standards and legislation following Orwell's Protocol/Policy/Procedures.
- Understanding of Orwell's values, mission, and care philosophy. Adhere to Orwell's 'PACE' values.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions confidently for the best outcomes for all.
- Knowledge of Care Standards: Understanding CQC regulations, Safeguarding, and Health & Safety. Compliance with Care Standards and documentation.
- Adapting to varying situations: Responding to changing needs and unexpected situations, with a positive mindset to resolve any issues
- Accountability: Taking responsibility for team performance and care quality whilst leading by example, engaging with 'others' to demonstrate leadership skills.
- Empowerment: Offer opportunities for professional growth such as NVQs, workshops - Assign tasks based on individual strengths and experience - Share Orwell's vision and goals clearly with the team. Explain roles and responsibilities so everyone knows what is expected.

Levington Court is situated in close proximity of Lowestoft's picturesque seaside location offering many local amenities. Levington Court is close to doctor's surgeries, dentists, restaurants and traditional sea side shops.
