About the Role

We are seeking an industry support worker who can bring the right skills and experience to address both the commercial and support demands of our sector.This includes tasks such as print finishing, client support, reprographics, typographic design, procurement, machine operation, mail handling, fulfilment, and printing.The role involves assisting adults whose needs require more than standard workplace adjustments, all within a fast-paced factory setting. This part-time role is 22 hours per week on day shift: Wednesday and Thursday, 8:15am–4:15pm, and Friday, 8:15am–3:45pm.

Some of the work that you will be undertaking will be:

  • Operate digital copiers and inserters to produce print and mail items.
  • To support the development of members of the Supported Industry workforce by assisting in developing work within the industry and manage business workflow.
  • To assess and record with industry workers any highlighted changes in need as directed by Senior Industry Support Workers.
  • To assist in the writing and development of support/progression plans with individuals.
  • To always work to safeguard the needs of vulnerable adults.
  • To positively work with the team to plan and implement changes by proactively responding to an ever-changing environment.
  • Support and comply with internal/external audit requirements and processes.
  • Learn finishing skills associated with a print finishing organisation
  • Drive the company van and assist with collection and deliveries.

We have a dedicated induction plan for all new starters where we will develop your knowledge, skills, and expertise for you to be successful in your role.

About you

You’ll be kind, dependable, organised, and caring, ready to offer in-job support to our Supported Industrial workforce in a busy factory setting.Your ability to develop strong workplace relationships and your solid print and IT skills are just as important as your high level of organisation.

Rewards and benefits

  • Annual leave allowance: 28 days, pro-rata, per annum. Rising to 30 days after 5 years' service and 31 days after 10 years.
  • Pension: You will have access to a Local Government Pension Scheme with employer contributions.
