About the Role - Coachbuilder
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Coachbuilder to join our busy mechanical engineering team in Basildon. We'll provide your overalls and equipment needed to get the job done. This is a great opportunity to work on our state-of-the-art electric bus fleet!
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
-Conducting accident bodywork repairs
-Window repairs
-Diagnosing body faults
-Performing collision and vandalism repairs
-Addressing routine inspection findings and defect cards
-Painting minor bodywork repairs
-Handling fibreglass bodywork
-Carrying out repairs and maintenance to interior body components
-Documenting repairs for third-party insurance claims
Location: Basildon
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, 4 days over 7, day shift - working days can be discussed at interview
Salary: £23.69 p/h £48,043 p/a with a weekend premium if your shifts run over a weekend
About you
-Do you have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent, with proven coach building experience?
-Do you have welding experience?
-Full driving licence is preferred
-Have you working experience in vehicle accident repair and painting for PSV/HGV vehicles?
-A PCV licence isn't essential, we can support you in gaining it
