Summary


Applications are invited for a Band 3 Ward Administrator to work in our busy mental health inpatient service based at Guild Lodge in Whittingham to provide a comprehensive administration and information service across the service, and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The purpose of this role is to provide an efficient and high standard of administrative service to the ward; to ensure that a welcoming and professional greeting service is provided to patients and visitors; to ensure the smooth running of the admission and discharge process for patients on the ward and to ensure accurate and timely completion of data recording.

The post holder will be aligned to a specific ward/locality and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the networks administrative service providing cover on various sites as directed by their Line Manager to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.
The post holder will have knowledge of all the relevant customer service procedures applicable to this role as well as the ability to deal with non-routine activities that arise. Problem solving is an integral part of the role.
