Job Introduction

JoinSodexo asaNight Security Officer inReading andtake on a key role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and theirpremises during overnight hours.As the primary on-site presencethroughout the night, you will maintain vigilant patrols, respond promptly toincidents, monitor security systems, and provide calm, professional supportwhenever needed.If you’re dependable, alert, and committed to deliveringexcellent service even when the world is asleep, this is a great opportunity tomake a meaningful impact with a global leader in facilities management.

What you'll do:

  • Control site access, including locking/unlocking facilities, managing visitors, and verifying deliveries and trailer security.
  • Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, BMS systems, and respond promptly to any incidents or suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular campus patrols and report any faults, risks, or security concerns through the correct systems.
  • Serve as site safety champion, participate in safety calls, log safety reports, support CCTV monitoring, access control, incident reporting, and ensure compliance with Sodexo and client policies.
  • Handle emergencies by taking emergency calls, providing First Aid when required, and coordinating with emergency services.
  • Perform essential support duties such as reception tasks, answering calls, assisting with site communications, and maintaining accurate security logs.

What you'll bring:

  • Valid SIA License
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both face to face and through email, Tannoy and telephone
