  • Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm
  • Sun-Thurs, 10pm-6am
  • Mon-Fri, 2pm-10pm
Payrate: £14.52 per hour
Contract type: Full time, perm (paid weekly in arrears)

About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for the production and baking of biscuits, which includes activities such as moulding, baking, chocolate processing, and jam depositing. You will ensure products meet required quality standards while maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Review the production programme, oven profiles, and relevant recipe sheets.
  • Use the touchscreen system to select the correct recipe and prepare ingredients accordingly.
  • Refill dough hoppers as required and prepare/add pre‑mix batches.
  • Set up and operate the rotary moulder and baking oven, making adjustments as needed to maintain product standards and specifications; report any faults promptly.
  • Set up and operate the chocolate enrober and cooler, making necessary adjustments to maintain specifications; report any faults.
  • Conduct regular product checks to identify any deviation from standards or specifications.
  • Verify and record colour standards using control sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy working area and ensure all plant equipment is kept clean.

Key Ingredients for suitable candidates include:
  • Previous production experience in a bakery environment is beneficial but not essential—full training is provided.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and use your own initiative.
  • Comfortable with manual handling, including lifting up to 15kg.
  • Willingness to work in a food manufacturing environment where hygiene and safety are top priorities.
  • Full training will be provided.
