Summary
To support a lady with personal care and all tasks of daily living.
Hours: 6.5 per week
Thurs: 09:00 - 15:30 Potential for more hours when cover needed for 2nd PA.
PA tasks: Personal care, assist District Nurse's with bowel care, nutritional needs (prepping food and feeding). Help with IT tasks so knowledgeable in this area would be appreciated. Taking to appointments, help with paying bills, looking into quotes for insurance, and domestic tasks include washing, ironing and maintaining a habitable home. In the summer help with supporting getting to the garden. Shopping calls, online purchases, record keeping/filing, community activities, and take to functions.
Mobility: Would need to be hoisted as client has a ceiling hoist.
PA will be required to drive the client’s mobility vehicle to drive client to places of interest, therefore full clean driving licence required and must be at least 25 years due to insurance purposes.
Client interests/hobbies: Client is said to have a good sense of humour and many interests including looking into family history, being outdoors, going to see mother/family, likes to read (unable to turn pages in books), likes to watch films.
Clients’ relevant diagnosis: Multiple sclerosis.
PA required to work on a 1:1 basis.
Previous care experience desired, especially around catheter care, but not essential. This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, patient, and respectful of others’ privacy, dignity, values, and beliefs.
