Summary
5 posts, part time, 15 hours per week, predominantly weekend working. Fixed term for 12 months. We are seeking suitably skilled nurses to join our physical healthcare services to the resident adult populations of Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood, NW, and Mansfield and Ashfield. These posts are to predominantly work weekends, however some weekday working may be required. The successful candidates will be assigned a base, however there may be a requirement to work in alternative bases across Nottinghamshire. Business mileage will be paid from the base you are required to work. There is a requirement that post holders will start work at 8am and be available to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, however the requirement to work between 8am and 12pm is set. Providing appropriate community nursing care following a robust holistic assessment which enables patients to be cared for in their own homes and clinic settings. You will facilitate the prevention of unnecessary hospital admission/re-admission by reducing the effects of ill health and disability and maximising the individuals potential for independence. You will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to the residents of Nottinghamshire. and will work flexibly in the community to support our evolving and developing services, supporting the team to deliver high quality integrated care. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be adaptable, reliable, resourceful and approachable. Community experience is preferred but those with appropriate transferable skills will be considered, as will students having undertaken a community management placement. The position requires you to work independently, but also be a team player. A robust induction and competency based development package will be provided. Our service covers the hours of 8am to 6pm over seven days, 365 days a year. Flexible working opportunities are available. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
