Summary

South Staffordshire College is launching an exciting new venture—a dynamic, yet-to-be-named in-house studio designed to inspire innovation and collaboration. We’re looking for a passionate Creative Practice & Production Lead to shape this space into a hub of creativity and opportunity.
This is more than a job—it’s a chance to build a brand from the ground up, connect with businesses across Staffordshire and the West Midlands, and create real-world experiences for our learners in the Creative and Digital sectors. You’ll lead projects responding to client briefs, manage production workflows, and ensure every outcome reflects the highest standards of creativity and professionalism.
What you’ll do:
• Lead and grow our new creative studio, developing its identity and reputation.
• Collaborate with industry partners—from local businesses to larger organizations—to source exciting projects and opportunities.
• Mentor and inspire learners, integrating client-based briefs into their curriculum and guiding them through real-world creative challenges.
• Deliver outstanding media products, managing projects from concept to completion with the support of our talented students.
• Drive innovation, exploring new technologies and creative approaches to keep our studio at the cutting edge.
What we’re looking for:
• A creative thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for storytelling through media.
• Strong skills in lens-based media, content creation, and digital production—experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects is a big plus.
• Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain excellent client relationships.
• Industry experience backed by a portfolio of creative work that showcases your talent and versatility.
• Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and ideally, experience in audio-visual production and small-to-medium scale projects.
• Your own transport for client visits and project coordination.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of creative education, empower the next generation of digital talent, and make your mark on a brand-new studio. If you thrive on creativity, collaboration, and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
