Summary

About the role:
As a Kitchen Assistant you’ll help to provide high quality food and hospitality that support Carleen Nursing Home to give our residents the support and care they not only need but deserve.
You will help to ensure each person receives a healthy, nutritious, well-presented diet and meaningful mealtime experience.
Numada Healthcare Limited are looking for someone who is committed to delivering and maintaining high standards in the kitchen and during the mealtime experience. You’ll be a key player in keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean. You'll be responsible for cleaning utensils and dishes along with general kitchen duties and on occasion basic food and ingredients preparation.
Shifts will vary but will be between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
You will be required to work alternative weekends.
Responsibilities:
· Deliver person-centred care and respect the dignity of service users
· Communicate well with service users, families and professionals
· Support service users to make daily choices
· Assist with meal preparation, serving and kitchen duties
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and infection control
· Follow health and safety requirements and report any concerns
· Attend training, meetings and support new staff
· Work in line with company policies and maintain confidentiality
Requirements:
· The right to work in the UK
· Reliable, considerate, and caring with passion to help others
· Have excellent communication skills, be a great team player, be flexible and have can do attitude
· Experience in the catering services
Food handling course qualification desirable
