Join our team as a QA Technician on a 12-month fixed-term contract

Location: Ebbw Vale, Rassau Industrial Estate, NP23 5SD
Working Hours: 06:00 -18:00 4on 4off

Pay: £28,813 per year

Reporting To: QA Manager

Your Role:

As a QA Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards. Your responsibilities
will include:

* Driving high-quality product and packaging standards
* Conducting compliance checks on finished products, raw materials, and packaging
* Performing gas, pH, weight, label, and sensory testing
* Preparing samples for chemical and microbiological analysis
* Assisting with corrective actions following non-conformances
* Conducting allergen, CCP, and production compliance checks
* Performing environmental swabbing, water testing, and temperature monitoring
* Supporting production teams to ensure adherence to food safety and quality procedures
* Attending and contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly meetings




What We’re Looking For:

* Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing
* Good understanding of BRC regulations, HACCP, and food safety legislation
* Qualifications: Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene, Level 1/2 HACCP (preferred but not essential)
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and flexible attitude
