These include: • 57 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)• Generous Occupational Pension Scheme • Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) - worth up to £7,000 over two years*Progression beyond point 12 of the salary scale (£40,407) is subject to Tutors obtaining QTLS. Staff with Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) via the Society for Education and Training (SET) are eligible to receive an enhanced salary of £44,875- ask us for further details.About the roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual with drive and enthusiasm who will relish the opportunity of working with our full time and apprentice brickwork students. The post would suit an appropriately qualified person looking for a first step from industry to a career in teaching, or an experienced tutor looking for career development.About the personPrevious teaching experience is not essential, as you will be supported to develop the competences needed to teach and deliver your skills and knowledge to our students. You will be given a mentor, who will welcome you into our fabulous team and help to guide you day to day.If you are qualified to Level 3 in Bricklaying and have industry experience and a passion for developing students' employability skills, including English and Maths skills, then we would love to hear from you.This is a full-time post, but we would consider part-time hours for the right candidate.About the CollegeWe are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more one million people.
