Summary

Industrial Disease Claims Handler
Manchester or Leeds | Hybrid working
£32,000 - £38,000

IPS recruiting for an experienced Claims Handler to join a well-established defendant claims team handling industrial disease matters. This role sits within EL/PL and focuses on disease claims, including asbestos and NIHL, with structured training provided where required.
You’ll manage your own caseload, working proactively to control costs and reduce litigation, with litigated matters passed to panel solicitors. Claimant-side experience will be considered if you have solid disease exposure.
The role

- Managing a caseload of industrial disease claims
- Handling defendant EL/PL matters including asbestos and NIHL
- Policy investigations and recovery opportunities
- Proactive claims handling to minimise escalation
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Working to agreed SLAs and performance targets

About you

- Previous EL/PL claims handling experience
- Disease claims experience preferred
- Comfortable with medical and legal terminology
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Consistent, organised, and commercially aware
- Open to learning and developing technical expertise in asbestos claims

Package

- Regional salary circa £32,000–£38,750
- Annual bonus (company and performance based)

- Full-time hours
- Hybrid working with 3 fixed office days per week
