Description
The Senior Parent Support Advisor (PO1) plays a vital role in enhancing the relationship between families and educational institutions by providing comprehensive support and guidance to parents of students. This position requires a dedicated and empathetic individual who can connect with parents, address their concerns, and equip them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively advocate for their children's educational needs. The Senior Parent Support Advisor will lead initiatives to foster a positive and collaborative environment for both parents and the school community, promoting understanding of educational policies and available resources. In addition, this role involves working closely with teachers, administrators, and specialized staff to ensure that parents are well-informed about their children's progress and any support mechanisms that may be available. A key component of this role is the ability to develop and deliver training workshops and informational sessions that empower parents and enhance their engagement in the educational process. As the Senior Parent Support Advisor, you will also handle complex parental inquiries and concerns, and serve as a liaison between families and school officials, ensuring that parents feel heard and valued as partners in education. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a passion for community engagement, making a meaningful impact on the lives of students and their families.

Responsibilities
Provide tailored support and guidance to parents navigating educational challenges.
Facilitate communication between parents and school staff to resolve concerns effectively.
Develop and implement workshops and information sessions to inform parents of educational resources and policies.
Conduct one-on-one consultations with parents to address specific needs and inquiries.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of parent support initiatives and programs.
Collaborate with educational professionals to create a strong support network for parents.
Assist in the development of comprehensive parent engagement strategies that promote active participation in school activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar support role, preferably in an educational setting.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and sensitive issues.
Experience in designing and facilitating workshops or training sessions for adults.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, including parents, educators, and community stakeholders.
Knowledge of educational policies, resources, and best practices related to parent engagement.
