Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment? We're seeking a Catering Assistant and Barista to join our team. Your role will involve preparing and serving hot and cold food and beverages while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience working in a public-facing role, preferably in a catering or hospitality setting. Experience will include food preparation, barista skills, and maintaining high hygiene standards. You'll create a welcoming atmosphere for customers, work effectively as part of a team, and handle cash transactions accurately.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold food and beverages, ensuring high presentation standards.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness in catering outlets and equipment.
- Manage waste and recycling within the café.
- Receive and organize deliveries efficiently.
- Refill vending machines, ensuring items are available for purchase when outlets are closed.
- Follow catering and Colchester City Council procedures, keeping training up to date.
Comply with the Council’s Safeguarding policies concerning children and vulnerable adult

The full-time position will work an average of 37 hours per week on a rota basis. Early morning, Weekend and evening working will be required.
