ABOUT US

Transforming lives through excellent education

London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.

Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.

ABOUT THE POST

Harassment Prevention and Compliance Coordinator (PSG6)
Centre for Equity and Inclusion | Professional Services

London Metropolitan University is seeking a Harassment Prevention and Compliance Coordinator to join its Centre for Equity and Inclusion (CEI). This role provides specialist institutional capacity in harassment prevention, regulatory compliance, and culture change.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Charters, the postholder will lead the University’s prevention and compliance activity relating to harassment, sexual misconduct and dignity and respect, with a particular focus on OfS Condition E6, the Public Sector Equality Duty, and related equality frameworks.

The role sits firmly within prevention, insight and compliance. It does not involve operational casework or student support. Instead, the postholder will:

Maintain and develop the University’s Single Comprehensive Source of Information (SCSI)

Analyse anonymised institutional trend data, including themes emerging from Report and Support

Produce compliance briefings and insight reports for senior leaders and governance

Coordinate institution-wide harassment prevention activity and targeted campaigns

Design and deliver trauma-aware, survivor-informed training and awareness activity

Contribute prevention evidence to equality charter work and institutional policy development

The postholder will work closely with Safeguarding, Student Services, HR, Communications, the Students’ Union, Schools and Professional Services to ensure that prevention activity is coherent, consistent and aligned with regulatory expectations.

This is a key role in strengthening London Met’s ability to evidence compliance, reduce institutional risk, and deliver effective, values-led prevention across a complex organisation.

Closing date: 28 January 2026
